design sprint 2.0  Q&A

what the hell is

a design sprint 2.0?

I am glad you asked! Design Sprint is a problem-solving methodology based on the best practices of Design Thinking, Lean UX, and Agile. It's a clear, efficient, rapid, and adaptable process to solve big problems and test great new ideas.

Initially developed by Google Ventures for tech startups, to date, it helped thousands of organizations from dozens of industries to bring innovative products and services to the market.

Among them are Silicon Valley and Fortune 500 companies like Google, E-bay, Twitter, Slack, Airbnb, LinkedIn, Flatiron Health, T-Mobile, Lufthansa, KLM, Lego or even United Nations that successfully launched multi-million dollar products and services thanks to the Design Sprint.

Design Sprint 2.0 is the most up-to-date improved version developed by AJ&Smart (check them out, they are awesome!). It packs an initial 5-day process in 4 days thanks to better flow, improved exercises, and structure of the Sprint.

OK, sounds interesting.

So what’s the value?

I am glad you asked! In short, Design Sprint helps you to save time and money, reduce risks, and get buy-ins from investors.

In just 4 days you'll be able to get to the results that normally would be achievable in 3-6 months. This assessment is based on the feedback of several hundreds of clients working with the leading Design Sprint agency AJ&Smart.

Hmmmm,

I am still not convinced.

What will I actually get?

In 4 days you and your team will design, create, prototype, and test your concept with real users.

So by the end of the week, with zero coding costs, you'll have:

  • Confidence in your idea

  • Validation of your concept with data from real users

  • Vision for the development direction and how you can improve further

  • Understanding if you should pivot or drop an idea

  • Tangible prototype to attract more funding or buy-in from stakeholders

  • Team ownership and shared vision of the project

  • Increased momentum to speed up the release and maximize your ROI

Wow, that's amazing!

Can Design Sprint

address any challenge?

Good question. Design Sprint is a highly adaptable methodology that can be applied almost anywhere where teamwork and audience satisfaction is a factor

It was already used across multiple industries to solve various challenges.

Here are some of them to give you a taste:

  • Large software products

  • Business model validation

  • App design

  • Organizational change projects

  • Web projects

  • Hardware products

  • Sales projects

  • Marketing strategy

  • Brand development

  • New startup ideas

  • Innovation projects

  • Nonprofit/civic tech initiatives

  • Digital transformation

  • Individual creative projects

  • Govermental agencies projects

are there any limitations

to Design sprints?

There are really only three situations when it doesn't make sense to have a Design Sprint:

  1. Your problem is too small and not worth the time and resources

  2. Your idea or a new feature goes against all you have done before

  3. You want to run a Design Sprint when your project is nearly done

Got it! So how does it go?

Do i need to prepare?

If you choose to work with me there's no need for any special preparations.

All you have to do is:

  • Book a room with a whiteboard

  • Gather a team of ca 5-7 people interested to work on the issue

  • Clear team schedule for the time of the Sprint

I will take care of the rest.
